Had a rousing tournament of Super Mario Bros.
Evidently, personal space is not an issue when crowding around the Wii.
And then we played to our heart's content outside. We built a killer snow fort and obstacle course.
I had my 1,204th attempt at making a snowman. Little known fact about me: even thought I grew up in the Great, White North, I absolutely suck at making giant balls of snow. I often blame it on Denver's non-pliable powder but when I saw a neighbor's perfectly rubenesque snowman, my competitive fuel was fired.
And yes, I realize I am pretty pathetic if a mere snowman ignites my competitive drive.
In my defense, my husband's obsession started with just wanting to grow the biggest pumpkin in the neighborhood.
I started out strong as the snow cooperated. After that, I really have no excuse because in the end, my snowman resembled a cross between the Leaning Tower of Pisa and E.T.
In a desperate, last-ditch attempt to save face I decided props were the answer. Any guesses on who is my celebrity snowman?
Hint #1: He recently got accosted with a golf club.
Hint #2: I christened him with an extra-long Pinocchio nose made out of "wood."

Ha, your snowman is TERRIBLE! I grew up in L.A. and can make a serious snow man! Maybe that is because my supplies were incredibly limited so now the sky is the limit! For a small fee, I can give lessons...
Sigh. Maybe I need lessons.
Any guesses on who he is?
TIGER WOODS!
For whatever you lack in skill, you make up for in creativity.
I stopped comprehending anything after I saw your cinnamon rolls. It's all I can think about now.
Love it. :)
Those cinnamon rolls look so good. Any chance you're going to post the recipe? I love cinnamon rolls.
Gotta love a snow day...
I seriously went to the store this morning with the intention to buy all the ingredients for cinnamon rolls, strolled through the freezer section, saw Rhodes' and never looked back.
Seriously. They are ever bit as good as homemade but don't take all day.
Haha ... but I think yo.u put Tiger's 'nose' in the wrong spot
Could you please save a cinammon roll for me?
Poor Tiger looks happier as a snowman. :) It isn't too bad. You can always say the kids helped too much.
You are so clever...even when building a snowman with inferior snow. I love the looooong wood nose and the golf club implanted in his cranium. I guess it is good he was a moving target 'cause Elin probably would have loved to have gotten that kind of club embedded head wound.
Not a thing wrong with that Tiger-man. I agree with one of your previous comments-he does look a lot happier there than in person. :)
I have to be honest though, I may have to pull out the Canuck vs Finn challenge card one day - serious bragging rights to the winner of a snowman contest.
Great pictures of a fun day.
